Sand Cats Salaries Released!

I have to confess I didn't think Ice Vainer was making so little based on those stats.  In light of this, I think I would release Maverick instead and use that cap space to sign the best long relief option available.

Also based on some math done by someone else on Reddit, it should be noted that this team has more than 10 million in cap space.  This is more than any other team we've seen so far, strongly reinforcing my impression that this team was designed for Franchise Mode.  They seem frankly unbalanced for any other mode.

Also I find it pretty fun that Elmo Slayer makes more per year than this entire rotation combined, with enough left over to hire a 5th C overall starter.

It does make me think of a fun little thought experiment.  Let's assume based on the two minute mark on this video that players turn over at the rate of 3-5 each year, so a player should request a raise or test free agency about every 6 years.  With the youth on this team, in 5 years you could be spending a combined 5.1 million on Trey Mondo and Beebee Takabasei, who with development could by then be B+ overall pitchers (especially Beebee, whose rating is going to shoot up with that accuracy stat).

Just food for thought if you were worried player development wasn't going to be worthwhile.
